Mustard & Tweed

Shorts - H&M, Jumper - New Look, Shirt - Topshop, Boots - River Island, Collar Tips - Ebay

I tried taking photographs in my bedroom again today but since I've had it done (video will be up on sunday)   I thought I would try and take pictures from a different place in my room, with lovely mum helping me by taking my photos as my usual set up is no longer available due to furniture moving/gone.  It turns out that the lighting in this space is just awful and it took a long time to sort out so I apologise for that but these two photos were really the best of the bunch!  If the lighting wasn't awful then I looked weird, it was just very difficult.

Today I dressed for autumn as I'm just so ready for it now, even if it was warmish outside.  I had no need to look smart so I went for my tweed shorts highlighting some of the new trends (but annoyingly you can't really see that they're tweed; they are!) but it's such a shame that this beautiful mustardy colour isn't a big trend this season like it was last year because I've just rediscovered this jumper I bought last year and I'm just in love!  It's the perfect shape for how I style jumpers;  I'm forever ending up tucking the front of my jumpers in to whatever I'm wearing on the bottom so the fact that this jumper is shorter at the front than the back is so so handy.  I'm just really hoping that New Look released these again this year so I can pick it up in some more colours, or I will BIG TIME regret not buying all of them last autumn.
I went for the white shirt underneath to keep everything smart and put together (and also just so I could wear my new collar tips from Ebay that arrived this morning!).  The collar tips came in a small little pack with gold & silver in but I can't remember the seller so I can't link you to it, but if you just type in on E bay collar tips I'm sure you'll find them, they were about 99p from China or Japan!
Then I thought I was going to throw on my black patent loafers but went for the boots to make it look less thought out and more chilled out.

Hope you like it!  Are you looking forward to getting you autumnal clothes out yet?!

Topshop Studded Boots

Topshop boots - £40

I got these babies when I went to Brighton at the beginning of August and they are just going to be my perfect winter boot!  (besides the pair of chelsea boots I will find and buy...)
They fit in perfectly with the new seasons trends, the whole goth idea and the stud mayhem around right now.  I can see these boots going with so many different outfits so totally worth it for me.

This post is just super quick and I hope you guys can forgive me as I have been super duper busy recently!  I'm currently re-doing my bedroom and it's taking a while so I'm busy with that and lots of other things as it's the last week of my holiday before school starts again and that will probably lead to even more infrequent posting but please stick with me!  Oh and before I forget to tell you I have filmed my bedroom before I got it decorated so will do a before & after video for you when it's all done and show you around my bedroom a bit more!

Lastly I would like to give a HUGE thank you to Charmaine from her lovely blog I linked in her name (go check it out if you haven't already!)  for blogging about me and sharing me with all of her lovely followers.  & Of course a huge thank you to all of you guys who have come from her blog and had a look through my blog (and if I'm lucky you have followed).  So thank you to all of you especially Charmaine!

Must go to bed before I zonk out....Good night! (of good day whatever your time is!)

Stud lady

Shirt, shoes, hairband, bracelet - Topshop, shorts - New Look, leather jacket - Miss Selfridge

Sorry for looking so scruffy in these photos, I was rushing on my way out!  Anyway I was struggling what to wear that day as it was meant to be very hot BUT there was sea mist all day and it went super cold so I was so happy when I wore tights and bought my jacket along! I likes the simplicity of the outfit and the comfortable practicality as I was walking around outdoors all day; remaining comfortable and warm!

Sorry for the short post, it will be better stuff up soon and my Brighton post

Brighton Day #4

Top - Miss Selfridge, shorts - New Look, Shoes - Topshop, bag - small shop in Brighton

Today I was approached by a photographer for More magazine for their street style feature! Yay!  When they approached me I just wished I was wearing something better as I really didn't like what I was wearing today but oh well, so happy!  They said they'd be in touch so if I am in the magazine I'll be sure to tell you guys first.
Today I shopped in the lanes, bought the most beautiful book i've ever seen called 'Amelia's Compendium of Fashion Illustration' and it's just beautiful!  Going to be great inspiration for my textiles coursework and just something pretty to look at.

It's so pretty inside I really recommend it!

It's nice to see you again

Dress & Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters, Shoes & lipstick (in shade 'Begiuled' (?)) - Topshop, Headband - vintage, earrings - Silver Scene

Hello everyone!  Today's outfit was literally just a quick throw on outfit this evening.  I've been on the beach in shorts and a vest all day and it didn't seem blog worthy!  I literally picked up this dress as we were off to a pub for a nice little drink (non alcoholic of course) then went off to some family's flat to see some distant-ish relative I haven't seen since I was about 6.
Was so happy when the weather brightened up here as it was just miserable here in Brighton yesterday!  Foggy and strange, one minute it was humid and hot the next freezing!  I didn't get time to do my outfit post from yesterday so it will be up with the photos of what I've been doing, hope you've all had a great day!

Brighton Rocks - yes rocks!

Everything from Topshop (Opps....!) except: L rings: L - Miss Selfridge R - H&M & earrings - Silver Scene

If you follow me on Twitter then you may know that I am currently in Brighton until Sunday with my family.  We normally go to Brighton a few times a year as my grandad has a flat here that he lets us stay in whenever it's free (he usually rents it out) so my parents jumped at the chance when they found out it was free a few days ago so here we are!  It's not too much trouble for us to get up and go to Brighton as it's only an hour away from us and we can pack very quickly so, yeah here we are.

I didn't really plan any of the outfits that I would wear when we got here, I just threw all of my clothes I've been wearing recently into my travel bag so when I put this together this morning it was hard as it was that annoying weather; you know it's warm enough for shorts but it's cloudy and miserable looking so you'd look silly in shorts ect.  So I went for these pyjama trousers, very thin and comfy for a long day of walking around and seeing sights (even though I have seen them all before...100's of times...) and decided it needed to be dressed up with my peplum top.  I can't preach to you enough how much I love this Topshop peplum top, despite a lot of people hating them due to not fitting their shapes or just they have a distaste to them!  But I love them and I think they are incredibly flattering on my shape (in my opinion) and an awful lot of other people too.

I got my fringe cut the other day, back into a bare-able length for me.  Thank God, I could not stand it before, I had to keep curling it under to look like how it does now and in real life it looked so silly, so it's a relief!  I love short fringes I think they look pretty and cute but still give you an 'edge' without looking overwhelmed by a fringe; like I tend to when my fringe is longer.  My fringe seems to take over my entire face!

Unfortunately after we ate, I forgot to take any more photographs so I apologise.  But lucky for you guys, I'll be going out again tomorrow and the next day and the next until sunday so I'll try my best to take some pictures of the shops and pretty places that we go to.

We walked along the sea front up to Brighton Pier, to the coolest restaurant ever! JB's American Diner and it is soo cool!  Amazing American diner food; think all kinds of burgers, hot dogs, wraps, sandwiches... and top notch super cool milshakes and ice cream!  I couldn't get any better photos as the place was packed with families and screaming children so I didn't want any one ruining my photos.  But if any of you are ever near Brighton make sure to go there, it's soo cool!  Photos of 50's style bit all over the place; Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn all over the place.  Completely inspired by America, it's just so cool!
Then we went off to all the pretty little shops, they are just SO cute!  Got a pretty little pair of cross earrings in a little silver shop, coolest pair of black suede studded ankle boots & some cool new dark lipstick from Topshop!

Lipstick in Beguiled - £8, Boots - £40 both Topshop

Pretty me at the end....!
I'll do a review on the lipstick/post something on it when I get home and I'll do one for the boots aswell.

Ah, just ordered a spiked bracelet from ebay too, thank you Paige if you're reading this!  Can't go wrong for £1.21 including delivery - despite the shipping from China and the 12-24 day wait...!

Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic day and enjoy this post!

#1 Smallish Stores: Pop Couture

So as part of my 'upping the game' and what not I've decided I'm going to do a feature on my blog of cool little stores that I have found, doesn't matter if they are web based or small independant shops; just small(ish) new(ish) brands/shops that all you guys may or may not have heard off.  I just thought it would be a really cool way of seeing into new brands and new shops without having to search too far and spend too much!  I know that I probably won't buy anything from the store I'm focusing on this month, purely because I am a 15 year old girl without a job and the only money I get is from my parents/family so I usually spend it on going out and what not.  But if I had a job and was older I would definitely order lots of things from Pop Couture as they have a huge variety of clothing, shoes and accessories.

1,2,3,4,5

These are just a few of the pieces I picked out, I could have chosen many, many more!  But I chose a few of my favourites for you guys to see and if you like head on over to Pop Couture.  I saw the lovely Rosie wearing the white shirt above in her post and knew they would be my style, so I checked it out and was extremely surprised about the cost & how cheap it was which is always a plus for anyone hard of cash ( like me!) and still have something very stylish and 'edgy'.
I also noticed that they sell a very wide range of clothing, targeting more than just the bloggers and the fash-pack after the grungy 90's look, but also for the modern party goers that need a sexy dress, cheap and fast.  Not to mention the amazing accessories they have on offer, that everybody and their mother would be able to find something they liked, no matter what your style!

I hope you've found this post helpful and you've found a cool new shop to head for whenever you're in need of some new bits.  What's great about small-ish stores aswell is that no one will know where it's from or remember what the website name was you've told them, so they can't go copying you like sometimes our annoying friends do!

I haven't been sponsored or anything for this post, I just wanted to get some new things out there and on my blog for you lovely readers.  Hope you all have a great day!

Sun and Fresh Blog Starts

(Everything from Topshop except sunglasses from Urban Outfitters)

My outfit was just really simple today but I still wanted it to be cute and sophisticated.  I just went out with a few friends so it really wasn't a big occasion, so I opted for this cute little sequin top and a pair of black jeans so that my shoes, bag & lipstick really made the outfit.  (please ignore my mum's feet, she was sun bathing!)

I apologise it's a little boring but for a quick post I thought it would be ok!  I'm hopefully going to be 'upping my game' a little bit on my blog and my youtube channel;  I'm going to try to do more 'How I style' posts and videos, maybe some hair tutorials and more stuff that is currently on trend - lots of post about stuff like that!  I want to make my blog more interesting for readers and it will help me to learn how to be a better blogger for the future!  If you guys leave me some comments or get in contact with me and leave me some request I'll be more than happy to do that stuff for you as well, I promise I don't bite!

Anyway I hope you guys have a great day and like the outfit!

Studs

(maxi dress - H&M, shirt, shoes, necklace - Topshop, headscarf - old scarf)

Hello pretty ladies!  just been sat around today not really doing much other thank textiles coursework for when I go back to school in september before my boyfriend came round and took these pictures.  He's very tired so refused to take them again when I asked so you'll have to make so with my stupid faces in these ones, I'm sorry.  But he is super cute because he's just fallen asleep curled around me in a ball whilst I sit here writing this.   Aw lew!

So I'm really liking my hair right now!  it's about half an inch/an inch of the length I want it to be but that's ok because it looks the style I want it! Yay finally!

I'm about to go to watch Ted so I'll speak to you all later, have a great day!

Smelly Animals

(Shirt, trousers, shoes & bracelet all Topshop, bag - H! by Henry Holland, sunglasses - Urban Outfitters, ring - Miss Selfridge, watch - nan's)

Hello my lovelies!  Today's outfit was rather tricky to find really; I was going out on a 'family day' that my mum was very eager for and we went to a pretty little place that had a maze, very princess's palace-esque flower garden (behind me) and not to forget the 100's of farm animals!  Think deer, llamas, goats, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, sheep, pigs ect.  Me and my 13 year old brother did feel a tad silly walking around the place due to being the oldest 'children' there!  It is a place purely  there for the entertainment of young children - think 2 - 10 years!
But my outfit struggle was to do with the weather and the days activities rather then just where I was going... As I haven't been to this little country park since I was about 4 I didn't remember too well what I would be in for so my mum led me to believe she would have my riding donkeys and such so when I put on a cute dress this morning I thought better of it and went for summery floral trouser as it's too cold for shorts.  Despite being comfortably warm outside, it's too cold for any of my favourite summer pieces so I went for this pairing of the dark summery trousers with the white shirt for an air of purity & edgy monochrome due to the black in the trousers and the dark flower print.  Kept my hair down as I'm beginning to like it (shock horror!) and threw on some simple jewellery as I thought the trousers and my shoes really made the outfit.

I'm just about to attempt to upload a video of my outfit yesterday to my youtube channel and then I'm going to attempt to upload my birthday haul video for the 100th time!  Wish me luck...

Lalala

Shirt- Topshop, leggings - H&M, jacket - Miss Selfridge, wedges/flatforms - H&M, earrings - Dorothy Perkins, bag - Zara

So sorry I haven't posted in such a long time its my summer holidays so I've been super busy just chilling and having fun I'm loving it!  I'm finding it so scary being 15 now, so many of my mates are almost 16 and alot of my older friends are going to be 17 soon it makes me feel so old!  Where did my childhood go I feel so grown up :-(

Wore this outfit to a party at the weekend but I think it's casual enough for day time (despite wearing different shoes; couldn't quite face wearing flatforms to the corner shop!).  Anyway just a short post I hope to have more up soon, have a good day everyone!
